What we record, why we record it, and how little of you we actually want.

I.

Who runs this site

The data controller is Laragod, the studio behind Timefather. We are the legal entity responsible for anything this site does with your data. You can reach us at hello@timefather.game or through the contact form. There is no separate Data Protection Officer; the studio itself reads and answers these requests.

II.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we store your name, email address, subject, and message. When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address, locale, and the page you subscribed from. In both cases we also record your IP address and user agent for abuse prevention. If you consent to analytics, Google Analytics receives an anonymised IP, a randomly generated visitor identifier, and the pages you view. Nothing else is collected.

III.

On what legal basis

Contact form submissions are processed on the basis of your pre-contractual interest in reaching us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Newsletter subscriptions are processed on the basis of your explicit consent, which you grant by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing (Art. 6(1)(a)). Abuse-prevention logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the site from misuse (Art. 6(1)(f)). Analytics is processed only after you explicitly consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a)).

IV.

What we use it for

Contact messages are read by a human and replied to. Newsletter subscribers receive infrequent development updates, beta-key invitations, and the occasional essay. Analytics is used in aggregate to understand which pages people find useful. We do not sell, trade, rent, or profile your data. We do not use it for advertising.

V.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of processors, each bound by contract or by the GDPR's standard conditions. Hosting: our server provider stores the database and server logs. Fonts: served from Bunny Fonts, an EU-hosted mirror that does not store visitor data. Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymisation enabled. If you decline analytics, no Google scripts load. Email: outbound transactional email passes through our mail provider; no third party sees the content beyond what is required to deliver it.

VI.

International transfers

If you consent to analytics, Google Analytics may transfer pseudonymous data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Our hosting, mail, and font providers are EU-based. If this changes we will update this page before the change takes effect.

VII.

Cookies

We set a session cookie so the site can remember you across page loads, and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. Both are strictly necessary and always on. Everything else — currently only the analytics cookie — requires your explicit consent via the banner. You can change your decision at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or by clearing the tf_cookie_consent value in your browser storage.

VIII.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are retained for up to 24 months after the last reply, then deleted. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe, which they can do from any email we send. Unsubscribed addresses are retained for 90 days as a suppression list to prevent accidental re-import, then deleted. Abuse-prevention logs (IP, user agent) are rotated out after 180 days. Analytics data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics and then automatically purged.

IX.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to us using the contact form or directly at hello@timefather.game. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland that is the UODO (uodo.gov.pl); in other EU/UK jurisdictions your national authority.

X.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, write to us and we will delete it.

XI.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date above will change. Substantive changes will be flagged in the footer for at least 30 days and, where the change affects newsletter subscribers materially, announced in a dispatch.
